  1. The chances of having steady power supply in Nigeria is bleak.
    REASONS:-
Politics, Corruption and Nepotism has eaten deep into the fabrics of our leaders.
Engagement of unqualified and unprofessional personnel to run or manage the affairs of the Power industry, as I posted sometimes back that putting a square peg in a round hole will never be possible.
Unless we revert to the well established and planned structures of the then NEPA, I doubt if we can make any headway,
    Routine maintenance
    Preventive maintenance
Non procurement of relevant distribution materials/equipments and safety gears.
    Lack of training for personnel.
Minister of Power must be a qualified and experienced Power Engineer.

  2. There is nothing impossible provided it is managed with whole truth, sincerity and good heart. Where it is possible in some African countries like Ghana and Republic of Benin are not being managed by angels but by human beings . Let Nigerians also wake up to real truth and sincerity.

  3. In as much as that power generation and distribution are fraught a lot of challenges coupled with our own peculiarity of power theft and destruction of facilities,It is of note that other nations with worse situation than ours have been able acheive steady and reliable power and so I have no doubt in my mind that same can happen in Nigeria

  4. That was a brilliant, robust and detailed presentation by Engr Idowu Oyebanjo (FNSE). You are definitely the best man for the job. Keep it up. History will remember your tireless, committed and sincere contributions in solving the energy needs of our dear country.

  5. I think we can have steady and reliable power supply in Nigeria when we ensure every citizen is metered.

The commercial and technical benefits of metering cannot be over emphasized.

  6. I agree with you totally. If only we can fix round pegs in round holes. Proper training for those who are ready to work and also proper monitoring. Honest and trustworthy people that have the fear of God at heart and most importantly those who have the genuine interest of the country. I believe Yes!!. Nigeria can have steady and reliable power supply.
