What do you think? Nigeria is rich in Oil and Gas and so should concentrate on developing “clean” energy from Gas especially using Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT). Yet, effort should be put into Research and Development in the area of Renewable Energy Resources to provide a portfolio of energy mix available for generation in the future. For example, Solar PVs can be used for Street Lightning, Traffic Lights etc. The capacity credit of power generation from alternative energy sources is low and can in no way replace generation from conventional energy sources such as Oil, Gas and Water!
